We are proud to announce that ICA-Finance AS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sonatrach, Algeria's national oil company, to cooperate on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the upstream oil and gas industry in Algeria.
The signing ceremony took place today at the Convention Centre in Oran, attended by Sonatrach’s CEO, Mr. Rachid Hachichi, Norway’s Ambassador to Algeria, Her Excellency Mrs. Therese Løken Gheziel, CEO of ICA-Finance AS, Halfdan Millang, our Managing Director of Middle East and North Africa, Bahaa Malaeb, and Bjørn K. Viken.
This MOU aligns with our shared commitment to supporting the energy transition in Algeria by tackling the pressing issue of methane emissions and delivering immediate climate action.
